"I can't recommend this place enough-over half their menu is vegan, which is awesome! The vegan lasagna, steak, and chicken ribs were incredible, and their house-made vegan ranch is next-level. Bartenders Chris and Kevin are super helpful, guiding you to great choices. They've got live music, karaoke on Thursdays, and a solid beer selection. It's the perfect spot for a great dinner, drinks, and music-you'll leave feeling amazing!"

"I don't know why I don't come here more. It's so amazing to be able to order vegan dishes right off the menu, this place reminds me of a vegan restaurant I went to all the time in Jersey City. The dark ambiance is perfect and the drinks are on point. The service is also amazing. Definitely going to make it a point to come here more often in 2025 and support this amazing local business ."

"Great experience here for my daughter’s 13th. Server anticipated our needs perfectly and was at the table exactly when we needed him. Food & drinks were delicious and fairly priced. Atmosphere was cozy but really fun. Can’t wait to visit again."

"Their menu, including drink menu is fabulous. The decor is very cool--the bones of the original Black and Blue owner's style remains, making the atmosphere a big draw. Food quality was average (burger patty thin, some little bone/cartridge pieces in it; mussels obviously farmed and all the same overplumped consistency), but presentation excellent. Their fries are stellar. Vegan and vegetarian options are a plus."

"It's just as I remember from years ago, awesome! Fantastic atmosphere, a bunch of beers to choose from, and delicious food. Wife got the Black n Blue Burger and I didn't hear her complain at all! I got the Chicken Burger and that was delicious. There was live music, which happens every Taco Tuesday I believe. Outside they have 2 different dining areas, fancy lit up divided tables opposite the building and some tables in the lot on the side of the building."

"I had a really great time when I came. I got the vegan rings and fries which were delicious. I can’t wait to try the other vegan offerings. I did get the mac & cheese and the flavor was good, but I feel like it was missing something texture wise. The service was also great. Kevin was very nice and I can’t wait to go back . If you are coming though, be mindful, it is only off street parking however I was able to find a spot close easily but I did come early I highly recommended to anyone it’s especially good if you have friends with different dietary needs there’s something for everybody"

"Went here to have a couple of beers and see Deal play some dead tunes last Tuesday. Good beer, a few local choices from Weyerbacher on tap. Taco Tuesday, 2 for 5. Very nice, old downtown place, with stunning architectural elements, great design, dim lighting, and hand-carved wooden furniture. This type of place is the reason I live around here. True staples of the community, and so happy to support."

"We ordered the Vegan Menu takeout. The food was so worth it!! We are a vegan family of 5, here’s our order: Vegan Caesar Salad Vegan Chik’n sandwich with fries Vegan BBQ wings with fries Vegan Mac-n-cheeze with chili Vegan Fettuccine Bolognese The salad was good even though it’s just romaine and croutons, the dressing is flavorful and made the salad delicious. A good portion too. Our children had the Chik’n sandwich and they said it was ok. It has pineapples in it, so it threw them off. Our kids ended up sharing, so it was a good size. The bbq wings were the best and a good portion for an appetizer!! Made with seitan and is crispy! Hubby loved it. I had the Mac with chili and it was flavorful and gave a cozy feeling. The fettuccine bolognese was not up to par. Not much flavor, but a huge portion. We would definitely return and try dine in."
